The MULTICABIN M2 rear tent is designed specifically for the Ford Transit Custom and Ford Tourneo Custom with double rear doors, providing a practical and versatile additional space at the rear of your campervan.

Its innovative design uses the vehicle’s rear doors as the main support, eliminating the need for a complex pole structure. This makes the tent quick and easy to install. The fastening system also allows the rear tent to be fitted when a bike rack is installed on the vehicle.

A practical pack awning is included, allowing the front door of the cabin to be converted into an awning that provides protection from the sun or rain and creates additional covered living space.

A standard divider curtain separates the tent from the vehicle. It can be opened or closed depending on how you want to use the space. When closed, the tent can function as a separate room suitable for use as a shower room, changing room, toilet or storage area. When open, it creates an extension of the campervan and provides direct access to the vehicle interior, regardless of the configuration of the rear compartment, drawers or bed.

Access to the tent is through a large front door, providing excellent ventilation and visibility from inside the van when the divider is open. The front door can also be converted into an awning using the eyelets in its lower section and suitable camping poles.

The sides of the tent feature vertical Velcro fasteners for attachment to the frame of the rear compartment. The internal adhesive Velcro is not included, allowing you to choose a suitable colour to match the interior of your campervan.

The included fiberglass rods create a lower frame that keeps the tent in shape, including in windy conditions. This is particularly useful when camping on hard ground where tent pegs cannot easily be driven into the ground. Four metal tent pegs are also included for use on softer ground.

The roof is designed to accommodate two additional rods that increase the interior height and create more usable space. This makes the tent suitable for storing bulky equipment such as surfboards or skis and also allows you to hang a shower or camping lamp.

Mounting

First, hang the tent over both rear doors using the side flaps. Elastic bands secure the sides of the tent to the lower sections of the doors.

The connection between the roof of the rear tent and the vehicle is secured with another elastic band that overlaps the upper part of the tent onto the vehicle frame. Two hooks attach the tent to the door hinges.

The cross-shaped roof rods complete the structure and create a spacious interior with generous additional volume.

The fiberglass rods and tent pegs are particularly useful on windy days. The lower section of the tent features a hem for inserting the rods. Four rubber anchor bands and the included pegs secure the tent to the ground.
